SAFEBOARD® Roughtop
SAFEBOARD® Roughtop is a thick, rigid foam panel used as a plywood replacement for countertop sub-tops/roughtops. SAFEBOARD® Roughtop is made of the same material as SAFEBOARD® FMA and FIA, except it is thicker and comes without pre-applied Quick Stick adhesive.
SAFEBOARD Roughtop® is easily cut, routed-out, handled, and installed. It has an incredibly strong bond to any surface using SAFEBOND Hybrid Adhesive. SAFEBOARD Roughtop® supports and bonds to all SAFEBOARD® Products.
As a roughtop material, SAFEBOARD® Roughtop has the following qualities:
- Formaldehyde-Free
- Water-Resistant
- Fire Self-Extinguishing
- Higher Quality and Lighter than Plywood
- Mold-Resistant
- Engineered to complement all SAFEBOARD® Products
SAFEBOARD® Roughtop must be mounted with SAFEBOARD® Roughtop Screws.
SAFEBOARD® Roughtop Screws are specifically designed for use with SAFEBOARD® Roughtop. SAFEBOARD® Roughtop Screws feature stainless steel screws with 1-1/4” galvanized steel washers.
Regular construction screws and SAFEBOARD® OSP Screws can damage the foam body of SAFEBOARD® Roughtop – SAFEBOARD® Roughtop Screws were designed to spread out the force while holding the panel firmly to a cabinet without damaging the panel.
